Spicy Beginner's Salsa, the Advanced Hustle, Comfortable Historic Dance, and a Beginner Friendly Social Dance

Learn to dance

Embrace your spicy side with a beginner-friendly introduction to Salsa!

Fridays, August 8, 15, & 22
7:00-8:00 pm
$9/person/workshop

Friday Beginner WorkshopsSalsa is fresh and sassy, full of fun and flashy moves. In addition to burning up the dance floor to classic Salsa music, it also rocks out to lots of pop, club, and classic rock. Its relatively simple step pattern and driving music give it a universal appeal that is comfortable in any dancing venue: clubs, weddings, picnics, ballrooms, or your kitchen. Although all that flash can look intimidating, Salsa is really a great dance for absolute beginners.

Salsa spins into Friday Beginner Workshops starting this Friday at 7:00pm. Each week starts from the beginning, so don't worry if you can't make them all!

Check out the schedule of all our upcoming group lessons at SapphireDance.com/GroupLessons.php.

Advanced 4-Count Hustle is a thing of beauty.

Mondays, August 11 & 18
7:00-8:30 pm
$21/person/workshop
or both for $32/person

Friday Beginner Workshops4-Count Hustle is frequently dismissed as a beginner's dance. If you want to get into advanced dancing, you have to abandon 4-Count for the challenge of 3-Count. But really, they are the same dance. So all those fancy moves the hostshots are doing in 3-Count can also be done in 4-Count, slower and with an easier rhythm. That sounds like the perfect combo for perfecting techinque and learning hard/flashy moves.

Afternoon Social

Saturday, Sept 6
2-5:00 pm ~ $10/person
*Free for first-timers!

*This Afternoon Social is free for anyone who has never been to a Sapphire Dance Party before! So all you people who have been taking lessons, who haven't yet had the chance (or maybe the courage) to dance socially, this dance is especially for you. Yes, there will probably be people there who know more than you. It's ok - they're nice. And they definitely remember their first lessons and struggling to remember how each dance starts. Coming to a dance party does not mean you have to dance to every song. It doesn't mean you have to dance with every person who asks you (although that is one of the best ways to meet people). It's just a casual party that happens to take place in a ballroom while awesome dance music is playing.

If you like to cook, bring a snack to share, sweet or savory or both. If you don't, come dance with us anyway! The most popular snack will win a free private lesson with one of our instructors.
Details online at

Walk-ins are welcome but it really helps us when you register ahead of time.
