Our typical schedule includes Friday Beginner Workshops, Line Dancing on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, What's Next Classes and Workshops (not for beginners) on Mondays, and (seasonally) 4-Hour Group Classes on various week nights.

	International Rally West Coast Swing West Coast Swing Deep Dive Workshop Monday, July 20, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Ever heard of the International West Coast Swing Flashmob/Rally? You Tube it! This lovely couple in France has choreographed a routine and people all over the world perform it. This year there are new choreographers and it is cuuuuute! And I love the song. So, as you can guess, we are excited to tackle it again this year. We will be taking an in-depth look at this year's choreography in eight workshops spread over the next three months. Participants are welcome to come to any or all of the workshops, but if you miss one, you should do your best to make up the material. Location: Sapphire Studio Price: $21/person in-studio for one 90 minute workshop $32/person in-studio for both 90 minute workshops this month.     Pay online and register at the same time at Sapphire's Square Store.     Registration by noon the day of the event required. 	Beginner Line Dancing Dance your cares away! Line Dance Line Dance Workshop Tuesday, July 21, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Save your worries for another day! Combine awesome music with expert instruction and you've got a beginner-friendly workshop that will get you moving in no time. Each BLD workshop features an exciting combination of ultra beginner and slightly more challenging dances, giving you the chance to get your feet under you and then challenge yourself to do more. Easiest dances are taught at the beginning of the evening, more challenging dances towards the end, with a bit of social dancing and practice time in between. So, if you've never done this before, don't be late! 	Intermediate Line Dance When you're ready to level up Line Dance Line Dance Workshop Monday, August 3, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm So you've danced around the walls a time or two and you're ready for more? Awesome. We'd love to have you! The dances taught on Monday nights tend to have a larger variety of figures, rhythms, and more complicated transitions than beginner line dances (taught on Tuesdays), so be prepared to battle wall-nesia and get your feet tangled on the path to LD success. But the result will be worth it, without doubt. 	Exercises to Improve Balance Technique Workshop Monday, August 3, 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm This exercise class is specifically geared towards improving your balance while dancing. Of course, that also means improving your balance while standing and walking, which really can't be a bad thing. You will sweat; you may be sore; you will probably complain (we all do); but we keep coming back for more. 	Summer Sizzle Free for first-timers! (because we like you) Bachata Afternoon Social Saturday, August 8, 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm As the warmth of summer surges, it's time to dive into some cool, refreshing dancing at the Sapphire's Summer Sizzle Dance Party. We’ll be starting the evening with a Bachata lesson - great for beginners and still exciting for advanced dancers. No experience or partner necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and your dancing shoes! Join fellow dancers, young, old, experienced, and shiny new for an evening of good food, good friends, good times, great music, and incredible dancing. Bring a snack to share and earn our eternal appreciation. 	Historic Dance (in casual clothes) Historic Dance (English Country Dance) Workshop Tuesday, August 11, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Join the English Country Dancers of the New River Valley Historic Dance Society as we laugh, dance, and enjoy each other's company while learning dance new to us, but old as the 13 Colonies. This is the dancing you find in Pride and Prejudice, that George Washington did on vacation, and that evolved into modern Contra and Square dancing. Beginners, groups, singles, and families are always welcome. Every dance will be taught by being broken down into simple components and cued while dancing. If you can walk, you can dance, and we'd love to have you join the set.
