Our typical schedule includes Friday Beginner Workshops, Line Dancing on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, What's Next Classes and Workshops (not for beginners) on Mondays, and (seasonally) 4-Hour Group Classes on various week nights.

	Next Level Line Dance Y'all ready for this? Line Dance Line Dance Workshop Monday, May 5, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm So you've danced around the walls a time or two and you're ready for more? Awesome. We'd love to have you! The dances taught on Monday nights tend to have a larger variety of figures, rhythms, and more complicated transitions than beginner line dances (taught on Tuesdays), so be prepared to battle wall-nesia and get your feet tangled on the path to ALD success. But the result will be worth it, without doubt. 	Exercises to Improve Balance Technique What's Next Workshop Monday, May 5, 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm This exercise class is specifically geared towards improving your balance while dancing. Of course, that also means improving your balance while standing and walking, which really can't be a bad thing. You will sweat; you may be sore; you will probably complain (we all do); but we keep coming back for more. Line Dance Line Dance Workshop Tuesday, May 6, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm With an exciting combination of ultra-beginner and slightly more challenging dances, this workshop will get your toes tapping in no time. Debbi is a fantastic teacher who can really break things down into approachable bites, while giving tips to more experienced dancers to take their moves to the next level. Easiest dances are taught at the beginning of the evening, more challenging dances towards the end, with a bit of social dancing and practice time in between. So, if you've never done this before, come early! 	Dive into West Coast Swing Earning that swagger West Coast Swing Deep Dive Workshop Monday, May 12, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm We will be diving into what makes WCS so dang versatile, exciting, and fun. And how to stop on a dime like a boss. Participants will learn and practice several moves, improve their balance and spin technique, and get a short routine that can be used over and over again while social dancing. 	Historic Dance (in casual clothes) Historic Dance (English Country Dance) Workshop Tuesday, June 10, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Join the English Country Dancers of the New River Valley Historic Dance Society as we laugh, dance, and enjoy each other's company while learning dance new to us, but old as the 13 Colonies. This is the dancing you find in Pride and Prejudice, that George Washington did on vacation, and that evolved into modern Contra and Square dancing. Beginners, groups, singles, and families are always welcome. Every dance will be taught by being broken down into simple components and cued while dancing. If you can walk, you can dance, and we'd love to have you join the set.
