The lesson listing is updated about once a month, unless something unexpected happens. If you see less than a week's worth of several types of events, an update should be on its way.
Our typical schedule includes Friday Beginner Workshops, Line Dancing on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, What's Next Classes and Workshops (not for beginners) on Mondays, and (seasonally) 4-Hour Group Classes on various week nights.

	I could have danced all night, danced all night... Waltz Friday Beginner Workshop Friday, February 20, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Classic and romantic, the Waltz will carry you away like a gentle lullaby put into motion. This elegant dance will teach you grace and balance to beautiful music. With a slow pace and simple rhythm, Waltz is a wonderful dance to start your ballroom journey with. Missed last week? No problem! Each week we teach a 40-50 minute lesson, starting with the absolute basics in a fun, popular dance style. And then, finish off the hour with a little taste of another style that will be on the schedule later in the season. It makes an awesome #DateNight, #ParentsNightOut, or an evening of #FunWithFriends. 	High Dive Scrolling in the Deep West Coast Swing Deep Dive Workshop Monday, February 23, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Take the plunge and learn more, more, more West Coast Swing. We will be playing with our anchor steps tonight, while trying to stay grounded. Location: Sapphire Studio Price: $21/person in-studio for one hour and a half workshop $48/person in-studio for all 3 hour and a half workshops this mont.     Pay online and register at the same time at Sapphire's Square Store.     Registration by noon the day of the event required. Prerequisite: Participants should know basic West Coast Swing (through Level 3) and be able to dance it at various speeds: 10-15 moves including more than one whip, variations on side passes, and at least one tuck turn, or have attended the previous workshop. 	Beginner Line Dancing Dance your cares away! Line Dance Line Dance Workshop Tuesday, March 3, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Save your worries for another day! Combine awesome music with expert instruction and you've got a beginner-friendly workshop that will get you moving in no time. Each BLD workshop features an exciting combination of ultra beginner and slightly more challenging dances, giving you the chance to get your feet under you and then challenge yourself to do more. Easiest dances are taught at the beginning of the evening, more challenging dances towards the end, with a bit of social dancing and practice time in between. So, if you've never done this before, don't be late! 	Historic Dance (in casual clothes) Historic Dance (English Country Dance) Workshop Tuesday, March 10, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Join the English Country Dancers of the New River Valley Historic Dance Society as we laugh, dance, and enjoy each other's company while learning dance new to us, but old as the 13 Colonies. This is the dancing you find in Pride and Prejudice, that George Washington did on vacation, and that evolved into modern Contra and Square dancing. Beginners, groups, singles, and families are always welcome. Every dance will be taught by being broken down into simple components and cued while dancing. If you can walk, you can dance, and we'd love to have you join the set. Location: Sapphire Studio Price: This workshop is free, but a donation jar will be out during the dancing, if you feel like adding a couple of dollars. .     Pay online and register at the same time at Sapphire's Square Store.     Registration by noon the day of the event required.
